Where is the Marquis Phillips Shiraz 2003? I can't find this anywhere!
Please e-mail me or call me on my cell phone if you have any leads: 646 832 2134
to the best of my knowledge, it's a late summer/fall release, or at least that's when one of the west coast distributors seems to have it.
Wow! It sure sold out fast!
Check your local Autozone - I think I saw some stacked next to the Castrol at the weekend.
Happy hunting!
i'll get on this right away sir.
Who's going to win the Preakness?
Were you right about the Kentucky Derby?
my selection ran second sir. looks like smarty jones will be tough to beat.

From an e-mail received today:
Here's an update on two of our hottest groups of wines ever: the super-rich 2003s from Marquis-Philips and outstanding California wines from Decker Estate Cellars (winemaker Bill Parker is ex-Matanzas Creek). We managed to secure a bit more of the Marquis-Philips wines, including the sold-out shiraz and "Sarah's Blend". They should be here by July.
The Decker wines will be arriving shortly.
1. 2003 Marquis-Philips Merlot - $167.88 case
Just $13.99 a bottle. (The normal retail price has gone up, quite fairly, this year to $18.) We have even less of this than the (sold out, for now at least) “Sarah’s Blend” – and much less than the Cabernet.
2. 2003 Marquis-Philips Cabernet - $167.88 case
The Shiraz has always been spectacular here, but Cabernet is where Marquis-Philips has made their greatest strides – both in terms of sheer richness and in accuracy of expression. I think this one will surpass the Parker 92-point 2001, which he called the best value Cabernet he’d had from anywhere in over a decade. Throw this wine blind in a tasting of $50 California Cabernets (as we often have), and you’ll be amazed at the results. Or will you?
3. 2003 Marquis-Philips Shiraz - $179.88 case
The big gun of the Marquis-Philips “Roogle” range, and a Parker 93-pointer in both 2001 and 2002. In this extremely hot, ripe vintage, it combines the opulence and immediate appeal of the 2001 and the power and concentration of the 2002. Once again, a huge winner. And one of the most satisfying $15 reds in the world. (Though again, the normal retail price is $18.)
4. 2003 Marquis-Philips Sarah’s Blend $179.88 case
We managed to get just a bit more of the always popular (and rarer) Sarah’s Blend. If you missed out first go-round, don’t hesitate again.
5. 2003 Marquis-Philips Cabernet S-2 $29.99 net
Like the regular Marquis Philips Cabernet, this is especially good in 2003.
6. 2003 Marquis-Philips Shiraz-9 $39.99 net
A Parker 96 in both 2001 and 2002, and this 2003 may be the ripest and most sumptuous, as well as concentrated, Shiraz 9 yet. A blockbuster!
Stop your drooling!
I hear the Marquis-Philips 2004 Shiraz 'Nouveau' got a 102 from Parker.
I will get mine the first week in June, at least that's what the broker told me.
try www.taylorandnorton.com
it's hitting stores now, even as week speak, in copious amounts. more's the pity.
Joe, we are holding your allocations, per your request, and are having them delivered to your house as I write.Enjoy! Delight! All glory to the Marquis!
Where is the Marquis Phillips Shiraz 2003? Well, I picked up a couple of bottles last week at the "Wine Bank" in San Diego, CA. They still have about 7 cases left if you are interested. Their phone number is 1-800-940-9463. I hope this helps.
I just bought a case of the 2003 on-line through www.winelibrary.com, you will find that they have an amazing assortment of wines and their prices are excellent.
My cellar continues to grow through them.
Enjoy!
Thanks Jim!
