Rights for Immigrant Laborers! There is a lot of controversy these days about immigrant workers.

We at The Wine Importer respect the work of migrant laborers around the world and demand they get the same rights as "home workers."
People can pay another few bucks for their miserable premium California wines. Profit in the wine industry should not be based on the misery of the third world.
here here!!!
Joe-
Great post! Couldn't agree more with you! Thanks for making this point clearly and unabashedly. One more reason to support Dressner- seriously.

Jeff
Everybody respects their "rights", I would also pay more for legal workers. . . By "rights" do you mean the "right" to ignore national borders, laws, etc.?
dear joe,
of course, by the term "immigrant" you are referring to someone who applied, and obtained a "work visa" that would allow them to work in this country for a limited amount of time, then require them to return home, to reapply or apply for permanent residency. surely, you are not implying that a person who knowingly, and willingly disregards there host countries immigration laws by jumping a fence, or trekking a desert is intitled to that countries "rights"as given to law abiding residents, and "legal" immigrants......
because, as a carpenter, who earns his money to happily buy the wines you import, i am finding it increasingly difficult to find work as a result of the over saturation of the construction industry by illigal aliens....now, we wouldn't want that,... would we joe?.....would we????
