Louis/Dressner National Tasting on October 21st in New York City! You're invited. If you are a member of the wine trade and if you receive an invitation and if you RSVP. It is going to be a great tasting. We are celebrating 20 years in the wine trade and will be featuring a series of 1988 vintage wines which may be good or may not be good. We just don't know. Last October's National Louis/Dressner Tasting
There will be many wines shown. Some are wholesaled in New York by Polaner, some directly by us. This is the only wine tasting in New York which aggressively excludes hanger-ons and deadbeats. So get those RSVPs flying in to make sure we have a spot for you. We do this to make sure that you, the serious wine buyer, will have the time, space and leisure to taste in peace without being surrounded by imposters. Our view is that our tasting is a private event. Our special guests from around the country and New York are invited by us as if we were inviting them to our home. No one has a "right" to attend because they have a business card and some sort of tangential relationship to the exciting wine industry. Even I enjoy this event, so make sure to mark your calendar!
I don't have a business card, but I have a sort of tangential relationship to the wine industry! I'm in, right?!
will you have security at the door
There will be security at the door. Uniformed guards.
Tangential relationships won't work.
That's better than the usual uninformed guards.
How about tangential relationships between consenting uniformed guards with hipster business cards?
Is Jeff Connell really coming?
I think so!
Philippe Pacalet looks less sure, as of this afternoon.
How about Ray Corison?
Connell will be there!
Who is Ray Corison?
As far as I know, he's not coming.
This is a RSVP only tasting. Anyone who has not RSVPed and who is not on the invite list will be turned away at the door.
Ray's the guy in the picture under the name Joe Dressner!
Oops! Coursen!
Who?
What?
The big white-haired guy, next to the barrels, under your name, on the home page. You'll recognize it. |
