National Wine & Liquor Wholesaler's Association Calls for Resignation of Trent Lott!

While I have disagreed with their positions on inter-state shipping and their defense of every crazy aspect of the three-tier system, I have to salute my colleaues at the National Wine & Liquor Wholesaler's Association (the NWLWA) for taking a clearcut stand against Trent Lott. The NWLWA went on record today as calling for Lott's immediate resignation.

In an unrelated development, they have named Cimicky 2000 Barossa Shiraz Daylight Chamber as both the Wine of the Year as well as the Brand Identity Marketing Gimmic of the Year.

Mightn't it be better to leave Lott in place? At least he's out of the closet now. His replacement will likely have the same views, unpublicized. You know the extreme right wing wants to get rid of him b/c he is seen as an accommodationist with the lame-O Dems.

You calling Lieberman a Lame-o? He had the courage to get in bed with the religious right and re name federal funding of religious charities "faith based".....he had the courage to vote with the oil companies to bomb Iraq into our market.....plus he is developing a fine comb over and mush mouth that seems to be the 'in' look for any US senator looking to deny the nation's voice in the name of "moral clarity".

As for an Australian wine being the Wine of the Year, I believe this is yet another endorsement by the NWLWA of the destruction of native peoples. Please lead me in a boycott of all Chilean, Australian, and Californian wine...buy only French in our efforts to build a better Renault...........

Don't forget that Lieberman had the courage to carry water for accountants and top corporate execs (excuse me, Joe) by putting a gun to the head of the FASB a few years ago to prevent the deduction of stock option-based compensation from corporate earnings.

1. Shaving
2. Shaving in the shower: with or without a mirror?
3. Bicycles
4. Wine, and
5. Al Stewart

And for the last time all you animals, shoo. Shoo!
